* New Workshop * - This workshop is a new take on the previous charm bangle/earrings workshop and is suitable for beginners. You will make your own sterling silver bangle using slim silver wire (either round or square wire) with a small pebble charm and matching drop earrings. The session will cover a variety of techniques and skills and we will start the day practicing some stamping onto metal so that you can test out the technique and choose a design. I have a wide range of punches including flowers, leaves, feathers, zodiac symbols, marine life, animals/widelife/reptiles, symbols such as yin/yang, stars, moons and hearts to name a few. There are also letter and numbers so that you can add an initial or 2 if you like. You will make 1 sterling silver bangle and you can choose to use one of the metal bangles dies (a tool that acts like a press to create waves in the bangle) or you can change the shape to create an oval bangle, square, trillion or octagon shapes. Once your bangle has been made we will melt down scrap silver to create some little nuggets of silver that are then formed into pebbles and you can add your chosen stamped design. You will make a total of 3 pebbles that you can then solder on a jump ring/bail. 1 will be attached to the bangle as a charm and the other 2 will be made into a pair of earrings (you can of course choose to add all 3 to your bangle as charms if you prefer). You will be supplied with enough sterling silver wire for your bracelet and a small amount go scrap sterling silver to create your charm and earrings, plus sterling silver findings for your earrings. This workshop starts at 10 am and finishes around 4 pm (Finish time is just a guideline as we may run over).
